Old Mexico in Greenville

Eh some of the previous reviews are about right. Service wasnt the greatest. Took the order and brought food out quickly enough. Once the meal was served I was on my own had to flag staff down for refills and the check. I guess it is what it is. Mexican food in Alabama.

Just traveling through and this is the best Mexican I've had in a while. The lunch prices are unbelievable for the quality you get.

Was clean and nice looking. All staff was very friendly and we never went without having to ask other random waiters for anything, they all helped us as they walked by our table. Super friendly! Food was awesome! We have eaten at our fair share of Mexican restaurants (we love eating Mexican) and this is an awesome one! If we are passing through this area again this will definitely be where we stop to get a bite to eat!!

Great Experience! The staff were super friendly and accommodating. They were there to ensure we had what we wanted. The food was authentic and reminded me of home cooking. A definite Diamond for Mexican food in Greenville, Alabama!

Very poor service. So bad we walked out. Nothing to say about the food because we never got any. We never even got our drinks. Just chips and salsa. Smelled good but we'll never go back.

Shrimp Diablo without the Spicy sauce. One of my favorite meals. I also love the Daniel's special and the vegetarian fajitas. Service can go either way. Most of the time it is great. A few times we have gone with no drink refills. We have been eating at this place since it opened many years ago. We seem to have less service if we have a group of 8+. We have been stuck in the far back corner and forgotten a time or two when in a large group. Of the two Mexican restaurants we have here, I prefer Old Mexico.

We were seated quickly. However, it took over an hour to get our food and we had to endure a table of people being obnoxious, rude and drunk. I did not know my 3 year old would be subjected to such fowl language and disrespectful behavior. The food was not great to me but my husband liked it, said it had flavor. They did knock $8 off of our ticket. Had it not been for my husband wanting fajitas, I would not have stayed due to other patrons.

NOT COVID Compliance. Plastic menus are put from One table to the next (no sanitation). No paper menus( disposable).Waiters,servers)etc., comes in contact with food and customers wearing (NO MASK)! The ladies restroom was absolutely unforgivable! If you happen to “go Off the picture” on the menu(when you order) please know that you WILL NOT get THAT!, and don’t expect for them to Offer to fix it... you will get EXCUSES! The FOOD is NOT Authentic. It was nothing to “write home” about. My 15 year old can prepare a better meal than they served. AVOID this place like the PLAGUE!!!!

We were seated right away and drinks brought straight out. Service was good. Food was mostly bland. We had 1 person out of 6 who's food had good flavor. Upon paying for our meal, the person accidentally charged us 2 times. Will have to keep an eye on our account for a few days. Wouldn't recommend.

It honestly depends on when you go there some days their service can’t be beat other days you have to wander if anyone works there. The staff is very friendly and the food is good 80% of the time.

It was good however the salsa was SUPER weird and had oregano in it. I guess someone thought they might dried cilantro.

Chips were good. Salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce. Enchiladas were very dry. Vegetarian fajitas were not good

Waited for over an hour on our food, had no server visit during that wait, and when the random guy did bring our food it wasn't even what we ordered. After clearly stating the major issues with our service at this location the manager/owner came to apologize, and offered to make our order correct, free of charge. A step in the right direction, but still a major flaw in this restaurant's ability to serve customers. The person who made my wife's strawberry margarita asked if she would like another, she then returns with a strawberry daiquiri, unacceptable. The salsa tastes like an odd pizza sauce, the food is entirely lack luster, and over priced for the quality they provide.

This is my favorite place to eat in Greenville. The staff are very attentive, the food comes out quick, and it is always delicious! I highly recommend anyone traveling to give this place a try you wont regret it!

Literally the worst experience we’ve ever had at a restaurant. My “fajita” quesadilla was absolutely awful, dry, and none of the vegetables were even cooked. Our waiter did not check on us once.... we had to walk up front to even get our check, 20 minutes after we were finished with our meal. We will never be back.

Yuck...food was on par with Taco Bell. Probably have Covid too because almost all the people working there weren't wearing masks properly.

Never again! We used to really enjoy eating here but this place has gotten really bad. Found a piece of partially melted plastic in my meal, makes we wonder how much of it I ate before finding the unmelted piece. When I told the staff they just said oh, that's what the cheese comes wrapped in, like it happens often. Looked in the kitchen on my way out and looked filthy. Service was bad, we're done with Old Mexico.

I ordered chicken enchiladas. And got 4 chicken to tquitos with lettuce and tomatoes on top. I ordered guacamole dip. They brought out a table spoon of guacamole and tomatoes. And charged me $4:79 for it. My entire meal was excluding water to drink was $32. I will not and would not recommend this place.

It was ok, but not like Mexican food in Texas.

Food is a little bland, some of the staff needs to be a little friendlier.

Good Mexican food. Chips and salsa on point. I like the puréed salsa. They were well staffed. Servers could have been a little more attentive but I got there right at opening so they were busy. Food was good but not great. Could have had more spice and salt. I did not dock them a point because some folks like that. The chili relleno was full poblano pepper stuffed and deep fried. Good stuff.
